What a simple question, yet not so easy. It took me several months to compose a list of what I want exactly from life. I made a first list when I wrote everything that came to mind, then I rewrote it more clearly... I thought about it some more and clarified some more things... And finally my list was done. I have it always with me and I tend to look at it each day, even a few times a day.
Just doing this has improved my life several times. First off, I knew what I wanted from life, which gave me more confidence, a feeling of control and purpose. I started to meet people, get opportunities and things started to happen that put me closer to my goals. I had this drive in me that I have never had before. I stopped having days when I was lazy, didn't want to go to work, didn't want to talk to that person, didn't want to... what ever. I had a list of goals and I was certain I will reach them. Negative thoughts started to disappear. Each day I had more energy, I felt better and things started happening.
Setting my goals staright, figuring out what I want in life and from life, getting a very clear picture of what I want my life to be has been the greatest contributing factor to having LoA work. After all, if we're not clear about what we want, how can we get it?
Success is not an accident. There is an exact science to it. First, one needs to decide to be successful. Second, study success. Read about people who became successful and see what they did. A doctor doesn't go into surgery without going through training.
I think you are probably right on about this. You are lucky to figure out what you want fairly easily. I think it can be a lot harder then just writing out a list. I like to contemplate about what really inspires me. From this I can base the direction of my life.
Yes, Peter, and to add to what you have said, writing down goals/dreams makes them more concrete, more real, something you can almost touch. I really cannot emphasize the importance of writting them down. If you, anyone, does anything to make your dreams come true, write them down. I don't know how this happens, but it makes what you want withing such a greater reach and they somehow move towards you. I reached some of my goals within a couple of days. It's a truly unbeliveable process. Maybe it's the clarity that you get from being clear... I don't know...
Dont forget to think out side of the box sometimes.
its good to be realistic sometimes but other times ^_^.
You should visualize 5 impossible things you would like to have happen a day.
