Hi!
Just wondering if this is at all possible. We need the gas prices to stop going up and start to go down. Is this tooo big to visualize or is it possible???
Thanks,
Gas prices will continue to rise in the long run, there is no way around it. I have a different view on this phenomena though. I see this surge in barrel price to be a possible catalyst for change, for a bigger push in alternative solutions. When enough people want change, it will happen.
Heh. I've thought a lot about this. I don't think it's too big. I do think it might be one of those things (like world peace) that may need a mass consciousness shift to change, however.
I live in a city where I don't need a car, but somehow I often hear people complaining about fuel prices. I always want to say, "Stop! You're driving them up as you speak!" :)
Personally, I think we could lower fuel prices over night if we all really wanted to. The problem is that the issue gets so much attention that the problem grows and grows. If the news services would spin something positive and folks would start feeling grateful for the fuel that we do have (and the opportunities it gives us), I think we would see some wonderful changes.

Hi!
Thanks. I live out in the country, so I can't car pool to go into town. I don't want to try to go back to basics and use a horse and a buggy either.
I do hope with the election coming up in the USA that things will change. But you are right. The media is responsible for sooo many of the problems. They need us to watch to make money and so they often use something like this to keep us roped in. Hopefully, they will get tired of this, and move onto something else. Then, maybe, things will change. I do believe some of the economic problems that the USA is having is because the media put alot of fear into people. I am surprised there wasn't mass suicides with teh recession that was telivised awhile back. Unfortunally, people always make money from other peoples misfortunes/problems.
I do believe it will go down. I don't think we will see it go down much more than 20 cents or even 50 cents, but I do think it will go down. I will keep my faith up. I am goign to try not to let this bother me. Hey, I may get a newer car out of the deal-somethign I have wanted for awhile anyways.
